Autographen – 'Wegen Utamarosbild' Das ist sehr alter Zeit gemalt. Füttern sie bitte auf der Rückseite mit Kleister, dadurch wird das Bild ganz glatt! - Der Filzdruck mit Spuren zweifacher Faltung u. am oberen Rand mit kl., tls. rostigen Montagelöchlein, sonst wohlerhalten.

Autographs – Autograph letter signed by the artist and photographer Toragoro Ariga (1890-1993) to the politician Ella Barowsky (1912-2007) in Berlin. With a print after a Japanese woodcut by Kitagawa Utamaro on felt (approx. 63 x 45 cm). With illustrated envelope from the Ariga studio (stamp missing). - "'Because of Utamaro's picture.' This was painted very early. Please apply paste to the back, this will make the picture completely smooth!" (trans.). - The felt print shows traces of double folding and has small, partly rusty mounting holes at the upper edge, otherwise good condition.
