Der Tod in Venedig. - In: Die Neue Rundschau. XXIIIter Jahrgang der freien Bühne. Berlin, S. Fischer, 1912. 2 Bde. 3 Bll. 895 S., 3 Bll., S. 897-S. 1783. Gr.-8°. OHPgt. mit goldgepr. RTitel (etw. fleckig, berieben u. beschabt, 2. Bd. VGelenk minimal angebrochen).

Moderne Literatur und Kunst – Potempa E 26.2. - Der erste öffentlich zugängliche Abdruck der Novelle wurde veröffentlicht, während nahezu zeitgleich eine bibliophile Ausgabe innerhalb der Serie der "Hundertdrucke" erschien. In der "Neuen Rundschau" erschienen in der Oktober- und Novemberausgabe 1912 (2. Bd., S. 1368-1398 + 1499-1526) Zugunsten der Arbeit an "Der Tod in Venedig" unterbrach Mann den Schreibprozess seines bereits begonnenen Romanes "Felix Krull" vorerst. - Papierbedingt nur minimal u. sehr gleichmäßig gebräunt. Insgesamt sehr gut erhaltene u. saubere Exemplare.

Orig. half vellum bindings The first accessible print of the novella was published, while a bibliophile edition appeared almost simultaneously as part of the 'Hundertdrucke' series. Published in the 'Neue Rundschau' in the October and November issue 1912 (2nd vol., pp. 1368-1398 + 1499-1526) In favour of the work on 'Der Tod in Venedig' Mann interrupted the writing process of his already begun novel 'Felix Krull' for the time being. - Due to paper only minimally and very evenly browned. Overall very well-preserved and clean copies.
