Das Titelblatt collagiert und zwei Federzeichnungen in blauer Tusche auf verschiedenen Papieren, in einem fadengebundenen Heft klebemontiert, das Titelblatt direkt in das Heft gezeichnet. Vorderseitig auf dem Deckblatt in schwarzer Tusche betitelt. Mit persönlicher Widmung. - Die Zeichnungen und Untersatzpapiere an den Rändern leicht bestoßen und gebräunt sowie partiell knick- und griffspurig und vereinzelten Spuren früherer Montierung. Vereinzelte kleine Stockflecken. Hefteinband an den Ecken bestoßen, Falz teilw. eingerissen sowie verblichen. Insgesamt noch gut.

Geburtstag der Künstlerin von der Ladengalerie Berlin, 1971. - Die 25 Bleistiftzeichnungen von Lea Grundig gehören zu den eindringlichsten Beispielen einer künstlerisch-politischen Positionierung in der frühen Phase ihres Werks. In diesen Arbeiten thematisiert Grundig das urbane Alltagsleben, soziale Not, politische Aufbruchsstimmung sowie die Unsichtbarkeit weiblicher Erfahrung mit einer Klarheit und Empathie, die ihre Ausbildung bei Otto Dix ebenso erkennen lässt wie ihr eigenes Engagement in der Assoziation Revolutionärer Bildender Künstler Deutschlands (ARBKD). Formal sind diese Arbeiten durch eine zurückhaltende, fast lakonische Zeichentechnik geprägt: Der Bleistift ist sparsam, aber bestimmt geführt. Schatten und Tiefe entstehen mehr durch Struktur als durch Ausarbeitung, wodurch sich eine graphische Reduktion auf Stille und Spannung ergibt - ein Bildrhythmus, der ihre späteren Radier- und Linolzyklen bereits vorwegnimmt.

Titled in black ink on the front cover. With personal dedication.- Drawings and backing papers slightly bumped and browned in the margins, some creases and handling marks and occasional traces of previous mounting. Isolated small foxing spots. Binding bumped at the corners, fold partially torn and faded. Overall still good. - The 25 pencil drawings by Lea Grundig are among the most striking examples of an artistic and political positioning in the early phase of her work. In these works, Grundig addresses everyday urban life, social hardship, political upheaval and the invisibility of female experience with a clarity and empathy that reveals her training under Otto Dix as well as her own involvement in the Association of Revolutionary Visual Artists in Germany (ARBKD). Formally, these works are characterised by a restrained, almost laconic drawing technique: The pencil is used sparingly but firmly. Shadows and depth are created more through structure than through elaboration, resulting in a graphic reduction to stillness and tension - a pictorial rhythm that anticipates her later etching and linocut cycles.
