Moderne Literatur und Kunst – Die Albatross Collected Edition. - Vierte Ausgabe. - Mit hs. Widmung von Aldous Huxley an Miss Clara Wertheims. - Spätere Ausgabe des berühmten Werks des englischen Schriftsteller und Philosophen Aldous Huxley. Er schrieb den dystopischen Roman nach einem Aufenthalt in den USA, wobei ihm vor allem auch der technische Fortschritt und das konsumorientierte Denken der US-Kultur beim Schreiben beeinflusste. Nachdem er 1937 nach Kalifornien gezogen war, begann seine erfolgreiche Drehbuch Autoren Karriere. Sein hierdurch erlangtes Vermögen setzte er während der NS-Zeit ein um Juden sowie linksgerichteten Schriftstellern und Künstlern bei der Flucht zu helfen. - Ränder gebräunt. Insgesamt gut erhalten.

He wrote the dystopian novel after a stay in the USA, where he was particularly influenced by technological progress and the consumer-oriented thinking of US culture. After moving to California in 1937, he began his successful career as a screenwriter. He used the fortune he gained during the Third Reich to help Jews, as well as left-wing writers and artists, escape. - Browned edges. - Overall in good condition.
