Nicht bei Monod. - Eines von 160 nummerierten Exemplaren. - Die Radierungen jeweils zweifach eingebunden bzw. lose eingelegt mit vorangestellten Titeln gedruckt auf Seidenpapier. Vier Radierungen ohne Titel begleiten die Text- bzw. Gedichtpassagen. - Louis Legrand war Schüler an der École des Beaux-Arts in Dijon, spater bei Felicien Rops in Paris. Legrand wurde Mitarbeiter bedeutender illustrierter Zeitschriften und ist insbesondere bekannt für seine leicht erotisch anmutenden Pastelle und Radierungen. - Tls. unaufgeschnittenes u. unbeschnittenes Exemplar, im Blattrand papierbedingt minimal und zart gebräunt, wenige Bll. mit Abklatsch. Insgesamt äußerst wohlerhaltenes Exemplar mit malerisch, kontraststarken Original-Radierungen. - Dabei: Picasso - Pour Fernand Mourlot. Farblithographie von Pablo Picasso. In der Platte signiert und gewidmet. 15.12. 1957 31 x 24 cm. - Einladung J.P. Rouillon, Paris, Meilleurs voeux pour 1972. Mit einer Originalradierung von Claude Bogratchew. 21 x 13,3 cm.

Modern Literature and Art – With 14 orig. etchings in 2 states of print (incl. cover illustration), these partly hand-coloured, 1 additional inserted original aquatint etching of the cover illustration by Louis Legrand and numerous text illustrations. Ill. orig. brochure (somewhat browned) in cellophane cover (slightly rubbed). - One of 160 numbered copies. - The etchings each bound in or loosely inserted twice, with leading titles printed on silk paper. Four etchings without title accompanying the text or poem passages. - Louis Legrand was a student at the École des Beaux-Arts in Dijon, later under Felicien Rops in Paris. He worked for important illustrated magazines and is especially known for his slightly erotic pastels and etchings. - Partly untrimmed copy, due to paper in the margins minimally and delicately browned, a few leaves with offset. Altogether very well preserved copy with picturesque, high-contrast original etchings. - Added: as listed above.
