Tristan et Iseult. Mit 21 ganzseitigen farbigen Kaltnadelradierungen auf festem Vélin von Salvador Dalí, diese mit Bleitift monogrammiert bzw. deren eine (Frontispiz) signiert. Titeltypografie und Initialen im Farbholzschnitt nach Entwurf von Dominique Viglino. O.O. (Paris), Éditions Ramos Anstalt, 1970. 45 nn. Halbbögen, die Radierungen mit vorgelegten Folien. Folio. Lose Bögen in OChemise mit Umschlagtitel, diese in OPgmt.-Decke mit blindgeprägtem bekröntem Medaillon ("Gala Dali") und goldgeprägtem Rückentitel, alles im hellgrauen OLwd.-Schuber.

Taf. 41 u. 42. - Von großer Seltenheit, für uns auf Auktionen in den letzten 20 Jahren nur drei Mal nachweisbar. - Eines von 90 arabisch nummerierten Exemplaren der zweiten Charge auf handgeschöpftem Vélin d'Arches (Gesamtauflage d. franz. Ausgabe 125 Exemplare). Alle Radierungen zusätzlich zu Dalís Signatur bzw. Monogramm mit dem Trockenstempel des Verlegers. - Schuber an den Ecken und Kanten berieben, mit leichten Kratzspuren. Mappe stellenweise mit leichen Griffspuren, einige wenige Blätter mitunter sehr gering fingerfleckig, insgesamt vorzüglich erhaltenes Exemplar der äußerst raren Illustrationsfolge Dalís zum von André Mary neu edierten Versepos, die Radierungen im breiten Schöpfrand klar, gleichzeitig subtil und in frischem, nuanciertem Kolorit.

Modern Literature and Art – With 21 full-paged drypoint etchings by Salvador Dalí, of which 1 (frontispiece) signed and 20 monogrammed with pencil. - Of outstanding rarity, only 2 copies for us traceable at auction within the last 20 years. - One of 90 copies with arab numbers of the second state of the edition on thick hand-made Vérgin d'arches (of a total of 125 copies for the French edition). All etchings additionally with the publisher's dry stamp. Published in an exquisite portfolio with chemise, vellum cover and cloth slipcase incorporating a blind-stamped medaillon "Gala Dali". - Slipcase somewhat slightly worn, cover occasionally with slight traces of handling, a few sheets occasionally very slightly fingerstained, overall an excellently preserved copy of Dalí's extremely rare series of illustrations for the famous epic poem newly edited by André Mary, the clear etchings with wide margins, subtle and in fresh, nuanced colouring.
