Erste Ausgabe. - Schmidt, Russische Graphik 48. - Mit Text in russischer Sprache. - Vadim Dmitievich Falileev (1879-1948) studierte ab 1901 Malerei am Kunstinstitut von Prinzessin Tenicheva, bevor er von 1903-1909 Schüler von Mathé an der St. Petersburger Kunstakademie wurde. Er bereiste West- und Südeuropa und unterrichtete nach seiner Rückkehr an verschiedenen Akademien. Falileev war Leiter der Graphikabteilung im "Proletkult" und ab 1921 Dekan der Fakultät für Graphik. - In den Rändern leicht gebräunt. Die farblithographischen Tafeln überaus farbleuchtend.

Illustrated original wrappers bound in cont. half leather with marbled boards and gilt spine title, marbled endpapers (somewhat rubbed, minimally stained). With label of the bookbinder Knut Hässlers, Stockholm. - First edition. - With text in Russian. - Vadim Dmitievich Falileev (1879-1948) studied painting at Princess Tenicheva's art institute from 1901 before becoming a pupil of Mathé at the St Petersburg Academy of Art from 1903-1909. He travelled to Western and Southern Europe and taught at various academies after his return. Falileev was head of the graphics department in the "Proletkult" and dean of the Faculty of Graphics from 1921. - Slightly browned in the margins. The colour lithographic plates extremely bright in colour.
