Hegner, Hellerau. - "Sehr interessantes, eigenartiges Bilderbuch, zweifellos eines der originellsten Kinderbucher des 20. Jahrhunderts. Die farbenprächtigen, kräftigen Holzschnitte zeigen die bekanntesten Tiere, kindliche Reime zu den Figuren in weisser deutscher Schreibschrift finden sich oben oder unten, manchmal auch mitten in den Bildern" (Seebass). - Schubert, von dessen Werk sich nur wenig erhalten hat, war Mitglied der Gruppe 1919. - Zwei durchgehende Feuchtigkeitsflecken im rechten Außenrand, die Darstellungen nicht betroffen, farbfrisch u. insg. gut erhalten.

Hegner, Hellerau. - Two dampstains in the outer right margin throughout, the illustrations unaffected, fresh colours and in overall good condition.
