Sammlung von 9 Original-Illustrationen für Kinderbücher auf 5 Blättern. 1926. Je Feder auf chamoisfarbenem Vélin, 7 Zeichnungen zusätzlich aquarelliert. Blattmaße von ca. 15 x 18 cm bis 28 x 38 cm. Je signiert, überwiegend datiert.

Kinderbücher – 2 Blätter mit Stempel "Für beschädigte Originale wird Schadenersatz beansprucht. Eug. Osswald". - Der in Stuttgart geborene Illustrator und Tiermaler Eugen Osswald (1879-1960) war Schüler Heinrich Zügels an der Kunstakademie in München. Er arbeitete u. a. für die Zeitschrift "Jugend" und stellte regelmäßig im Münchener Glaspalast aus. - Die Blätter zeigen spielende Kinder bzw. Kinderspielzeug sowie ein Blatt mit drei Zeichnungen, die die Weihnachtsgeschichte illustrieren. - Verso mit hs. Annotationen in Graphit, 2 Bll. mit montierten typographischen Angaben zum Künstler. In den Rändern zart gebräunt und vereinzelt etwas atelierspurig. 2 Bll. mit unscheinbaren Löchlein durch frühere Montierung. Insgesamt sehr schön erhaltene Sammlung mit kräftigem Kolorit.

Childrens Books – Collection of 9 original illustrations for children's books on 5 sheets. Each pen and ink on buff vélin, 7 drawings additionally watercoloured. Each signed, mostly dated. - 2 sheets with stamp "For damaged originals compensation is claimed. Eug. Osswald". - The Stuttgart-born illustrator and animal painter Eugen Osswald (1879-1960) was a student of Heinrich Zügel at the academy of arts in Munich. He worked, among others, for the magazine "Jugend" and exhibited regularly in the Munich Glaspalast. - The sheets show playing children and children's toys, respectively, and one sheet with three drawings illustrating the Christmas story. - With handwritten annotations in graphite on verso, 2 fol. with mounted typographical information about the artist. Margins delicately browned and a little bit atelier-marked in places. 2 fol. with inconspicuous small holes due to former mounting. Altogether very well preserved collection with strong colouring.
