Kinderbücher – Manuskript nach Hoffmann. - Vorwort abgeändert. - Der gebürtige Frankfurter Heinrich Hoffmann verfasste die Geschichten, welche später zusammengefasst unter dem Titel Struwwelpeter veröffentlicht wurden, zunächst nur als Weihnachtsgeschenk für seinen Sohn. Der Verleger Zacharias Löwenthal erkannte jedoch den Wert in den Geschichten und überzeugte Hoffmann, diese zu veröffentlichen. Die erste Auflage erschien im Jahr 1845 unter dem Titel "Lustige Geschichten und drollige Bilder", ab 1847 trug es dann den Titel "Struwwelpeter". - Die Seiten des Manuskripts bestehen aus fester Pappe. Die kunstfertigen Illustrationen mit Tusche gezeichnet und in leuchtenden Farben koloriert. - Ränder und Ecken griffspurig. Teils stockfleckig und wasserfleckig. Ränder gebräunt. Illustrationen in kräftiger Farbe. Insgesamt gut erhalten.

Joints partly cracked.) - Manuscript after Hoffmann. - Preface amended. - Frankfurt-born Heinrich Hoffmann wrote the stories, which were later published in summarised form under the title Struwwelpeter, initially only as a Christmas present for his son. However, the publisher Zacharias Löwenthal recognised the value in the stories and persuaded Hoffmann to publish them. The first edition was published in 1845 under the title 'Lustige Geschichten und drollige Bilder', and from 1847 it was called 'Struwwelpeter'. - The pages of the manuscript are made of sturdy cardboard. The skilful illustrations are drawn in ink and coloured in bright colours. - Margins and corners rubbed. Some foxing and water stains. Margins coloured. Illustrations in vibrant colour. Overall in good condition.
