Judaica - Nationalsozialismus
History – Important document from the Hungarian Ministry of the Interior. - Original booklet. - Signed by the secretary of the Minister of the Interior. With the stamp of the Royal Ministry of Interior of Hungary. - The official list of 600 Hungarian Jews exempted from the "race laws" by the Arrow Cross (Nyilas) Party. On October 15, 1944, the radical anti-Semite Nyilaskeresztes Párt (Arrow Cross Party) came into power in Hungary, led by Ferenc Szálasi and Gábor Vajna as Minister of the Interior. One of the first acts of the new régime was to reconsider and limit the list of Jews exempted from the anti-Semitic legislation of the previous governments. The present pamphlet contains a renewed and largely limited list of only 600 names of Hungarian Jews who remained exempted from the race-based restrictions. During the short period of the Arrow Cross-ruling, 8-10,000 of the remaining Jews of Budapest were killed by death squads, and approximately 50,000 were deported, many on foot in death marches. Ferenc Szálasi and Gábor Vajna were convicted as war criminals and executed in 1946. - Stained, light creases at the edges. In good condition.
