Grained brown leather on 6 decorative bands with gilt-stamped title heavy antiqued bronze plate on front cover, and cloth with gilt stamped title in lacquered wooden box. - Facsimile of the manuscript from the second half of the 15th century, richly illustrated with approx. 500 medicinal plants and remedies, with the French translation of the famous writing "De simplicibus medicinis" by the physician of the school of Salerno Matthäus Platearius. - Very good copy.
