X, S. 295-96. - Das bislang größte bekannte historische Panorama von Mainz, aufgenommen vom Turm der Stephanskirche, zeigt im Zentrum die Altstadt mit dem Dom. Der Blick erstreckt sich von Mombach im Westen bis nahezu nach Weisenau im Süden. In der Bildmitte verläuft der Rhein, sichtbar von Schierstein bis Ginsheim. Im Hintergrund zeichnen sich der Taunus sowie im Osten die Mündung des Mains und der Blick Richtung Hochheim ab. - Papier leicht wellig, leicht stockfleckig, sonst wohlerhalten.

Framed under Plexiglas. - The largest known historical panorama of Mainz, taken from the tower of St. Stephen's Church, shows the old town with the cathedral in the center. The view extends from Mombach in the west almost to Weisenau in the south. The Rhine flows through the center of the image, visible from Schierstein to Ginsheim. In the background, the Taunus Mountains are visible, as well as the estuary of the Main to the east and the view towards Hochheim. - Paper slightly wavy, lightly foxed, otherwise good condition.
