Orig. Zeichnung der Ansicht auf Speyer. Vue de Speier principale ville de la Bavière Rheinane. Um 1837. Gouache auf Bütten (mit Wz., Figur der Fortuna). Mit schwarzer Tusche-Einrahmung. 44,5 x 58,5 cm. Unterhalb der Darstellung bezeichnet "Chez Louis Bleuler, à Schaffhouse en Suiße" sowie mittig unter der Abbildung "Vue de la ville de Speier principale ville de la Bavière Rheinane". Oberhalb der Zeichnung mit handschriftlicher Nummer versehen.

Dekorative Graphik - Ansichten – Panoramaansicht der Stadt Speyer, gesehen aus nordöstlicher Richtung und von der badischen Rheinseite. Im Vordergrund ruht ein Schiffer unter einem Strauch, neben ihm im Wasser der beladene Kahn. In der Ferne erhebt sich die Stadt Speyer mit dem markanten Dom. Rechts mit dem alten Rheinhafen und einem Werftgelände. - In den Jahren zwischen 1837 bis ca. 1843 entsteht eine Serie an Aquatinta Arbeiten mit dem "Ouvrage représentant les vues les plus pittoresques des bords du Rhin", in welcher auch unser Motiv in leicht veränderter Form enthalten ist. - Im Blattrand etw. fingerfleckig und leicht knickspurig, verso partiell etw. stockfleckig (nicht durchschlagend). Insgesamt sehr gut erhaltene Zeichnung in ausgesprochen feinmalerischer Qualität, die Farben satt und leuchtend.

With handwritten number above the drawing. - In the margins somewhat fingerstained and with light crease marks, on verso slightly foxed (not showing through). Overall, a very well-preserved drawing of exceptionally fine quality, the colours rich and vibrant.
