Römische Landschaft. Rom, 1760. Kupferstich mit Radierung auf Bütten. 18 x 24 cm (27 x 35 cm). In der Platte signiert. Partiell unter Passepartout montiert.

Dekorative Graphik - Ansichten – Landschaft mit einer Ruine am rechten Bildrand und einer Stadt im Hintergrund. Im Vordergrund sind ein Soldat und vier Frauen zu sehen. Am Himmel zeichnet sich der Schatten eines geflügelten Pferdes ab. - John Plimmer (1721-1760) war ein britischer Kupferstecher und Landschaftsmaler. Er ging 1755 nach Rom um dort unter Richard Wilson zu studieren. - Leicht fleckig. Insgesamt gut erhaltener und kontrastreicher Stich.

Partially mounted under a passe-partout. - Landscape with a ruin at the right edge of the image and a city in the background. A soldier and four women can be seen in the foreground. The shadow of a winged horse is visible in the sky. - John Plimmer (1721-1760) was a British engraver and landscape painter. He went to Rome in 1755 to study under Richard Wilson. - Slightly stained. Overall, a well-preserved and richly contrasted engraving.
