Dekorative Graphik - Ansichten – Enthält Dublette. - Aus: Description de la grotte de Versailles. Paris, Imprimerie royale, 1679. - Die fünf abgebildeten Masken aus der sog. Thetis-Grotte im Schloss Versaille, welche der König für seine Geliebte errichten lies, wurden von dem französischen Kupferstecher Francois Chaveau kunstvoll und in großem Detail abgebildet. - Ränder gebräunt, teils minimal fleckig, mit Randläsuren. Leichter Mittelfalz. Kontrastreich und insgesamt in gutem Zustand.

Signed and dated in the plate. - Contains a duplicate. - From: Description de la grotte de Versailles. Paris, Imprimerie royale, 1679 - The five masks depicted from the so-called Thetis Grotto in the Palace of Versailles, which the king had built for his mistress, were artistically depicted in great detail by the French engraver Francois Chaveau. - Margins browned, partly minimally stained, with marginal tears. Slight centerfold. Rich in contrast and overall in good condition.
