Photographie - Photographen – Unikales photographisches Zeitdokument, in diesem Umfang und motivischer Vielfalt selten. - Die meist scharfen, kontrastreichen Abzüge zeigen eine Gruppe Deutscher Jäger im Nordwesten Russlands (Region um Archangelsk, Kubenskoje-See u.a.O.) bei der winterlichen Jagd auf und nach dem Abschuss von u.a. Bären, Elchen, Rentieren und Wölfen. Zu sehen sind auch zahlreichen Winterlandschaften mit Dörfern, Poststationen, Bahnhofsgebäuden, Kirchen und bäuerlichen Behausungen, von letzteren deren Innenansichten, meist Gruppen von Einheimischen, zumeist Frauen in Volkstrachten und in Gruppen, oft bei haushalterischen Verrichtungen. - Einige Photos an den Rändern ausgesilbert, mit Verfärbungen und leichten Kratzspuren, insgesamt wohlerhalten, äußerst sammelnswert.

Photography – A unique photographic document of the period, rare in this scope and with this variety of motifs. - The mostly sharp, high-contrast photos depict a group of German hunters in northwest Russia (the region around Archangelsk, Lake Kubenskoye, etc.) on a winter hunt for and after killing bears, elk, reindeer, and wolves, among others. Also depicted are numerous winter landscapes with villages, post and train stations, churches, and peasant dwellings, including interior views of the latter, mostly showing groups of locals, usually women in folk costumes and in groups, performing household chores. - Some photos bleached at edges, minor discoloration, and slight scratches, overall, well preserved. An extremely collectible item.
