Sammlung von 20 Original-Photographien zu den Kuraufenthalten Otto von Bismarcks in Bad Kissingen. Um 1891-92. Bromsilbergelatine auf Photopapier. Maße von 13 x 19,5 cm bis ca. 22,5 x 30 cm. Je auf Trägerkarton aufgezogen, tls. unter Passepartout. Meist mit dem Photographenblindstempel "Pilartz Hofphotogr. Bad Kissingen", verso tls. mit Etikett (hier mit typogr. Bezeichnung), tls. mit weiterer hs. Bezeichnung.

Bismarck, Otto von

Photographie - Photographen – Ab 1874 verbrachte Otto von Bismarck mehrere Sommer in Bad Kissingen, um sich von seinen gesundheitlichen Beschwerden zu erholen. Bereits während seines ersten Aufenthaltes im Gästehaus von Edmund Diruf wurde er Opfer eines Attentates des Böttchergesellen Eduard Kullmann, welcher mehrere Schüsse abfeuerte. Dennoch kehrte von Bismarck zurück, verbrachte seine weiteren Aufenthalte jedoch im nahegelegenen Hausen. Die Stadt war ein wichtiger Ort für Bismarcks politische Kontakte und entspannende Auszeiten. - Jakob Pilartz war ein deutscher Hofphotograph mehrerer Herrscher. Er war der bevorzugte Photograph v. Bismarcks und photographierte ihn wiederholt während seiner mehrwöchigen Kurbesuchen. Insbesondere die 1890 entstandene Serie von Porträtaufnahmen fand weite Verbreitung. - Die Sammlung zeigt neben mehreren Porträts v. Bismarcks u.a.: Mehrere Aufnahmen zur Enthüllungsfeier des Denkmals für weiland Se. Majestät König Ludwig I. von Bayern. - Otto von Bismarck als Spaziergänger zusammen mit seinem Reichshund in Bad Kissingen. - Fürst Bismarck nimmt die Huldigung der Badenser, Hessen, Pfälzer (...) entgegen. Momentaufnahme mit dem sich nähernden Dr. Schmeel (Darmstadt). - Prinz Luitpold von Bayern (...) nimmt die Huldigung des Denkmal-Komités entgegen. - Die Trägerkartons tls. mit etw. größeren Feuchtigkeitsflecken, fleckig u. etw. knickspurig, 1 Bl. mit Abschnitten. Die Photographien tls. etw. verblasst, minimal verfärbt. Insgesamt wohlerhalten.

Photography – Collection of 20 original photographs of Otto von Bismarck's visits in Bad Kissingen. Silver bromide gelatin on photographic paper. Each mounted on card, some under passepartout. Mostly with the photographer's blindstamp "Pilartz Hofphotogr. Bad Kissingen", some with label on verso (here with typographical inscription), some with further handwritten inscription. - From 1874, Otto von Bismarck spent several summers in Bad Kissingen to recover from his health problems. During his first stay at Edmund Diruf's guest house, he was the victim of an assassination attempt by the assistant cooper Eduard Kullmann, who fired several shots. Nevertheless, von Bismarck returned, but spent his further stays in nearby Hausen. The town was an important place for Bismarck's political contacts and restful breaks. - Jakob Pilartz was a German court photographer to several sovereigns. He was Bismarck's preferred photographer and photographed him repeatedly during his visits to the city for several weeks. The series of portraits taken in 1890 in particular was widely distributed. - The collection includes several portraits of Bismarck as well as: The unveiling ceremony of the monument to His Majesty King Ludwig I of Bavaria. - Otto von Bismarck walking with his imperial dog in Bad Kissingen. - Prince Bismarck accepts the homage of the people of Baden, Hesse and Palatinate (...) . Momentary shot with the approaching Dr. Schmeel (Darmstadt). - Prince Luitpold of Bavaria (...) accepts the homage of the monument committee. - The backing boards partly with somewhat larger dampstains, stained and somewhat creased, 1 sheet with cuts. Some of the photographs somewhat faded, minimally discolored. Overall well preserved.
