Die Taf. nach Zeichnungen Geißlers zeigen Landschaften, Kostüme, Ausgrabungsstätten, Tiere etc. - Ränder minimal gebräunt. Insgesamt sehr gut erhaltene Exemplare.

Marbled leather with goldstamped spine labels and spine gilding, as well as cover vignette (slightly rubbed and bumped). - First English edition. - With bookplate by Richard Henry Tidswell. - Report on Pallas' second scientific journey, which he undertook in the company of the painter Geissler to southern Russia and the Crimea. The plates, based on drawings by Geissler, show landscapes, costumes, excavation sites, animals, etc. - Margins slightly browned. Overall, very well-preserved copies.
