OKarte fehlend, im Blattrand durchgehend etw. gebräunt u. stockfleckig (wenige Tafeln etw. stärker betroffen) u. knickspurig, die ersten 7 Bll. mit schwächer werdendem Feuchtigkeitsfleck am unteren Innensteg, die querformatigen Karten je mit Bezeichnung am Bundsteg eingebunden. Die französ. Bezaichnungen der Kupfer mit mont. dt. Übersetzungen ergänzt. - Insgesamt wohlerhaltenes Exemplar, die Tafeln überwiegend sehr sauber, die Stiche nuancenreich. - Dabei: Schwabe, Allg. Historie der Reisen, Bd. 19: Island, Rußland, Sibierien. Mit 6 (meist) gefalt. Karten u. 27 (von 29, die 2 fehl. durch Kopien ersetzt) teils gefalt. Kupfertafeln. Lpz., 1769. 4°. Ldr. d. Zt. (etw. beschabt). - Teils leicht gebräunt.

Geography and Travel – Atlas to the first French edition, without vols of text. With 59 copper engraving plates. - Later marbled half calf in the style of the time with mounted label on spine (somewhat rubbed). - Atlas volume of the first French edition, without the text volumes. - The plates show views, costumes, birds, fish, various tools, runes, minerals, etc. - The bound copper map of Iceland is not part of the work (the orig. engraved folded map is missing). The margins somewhat browned and foxed (few plates slightly more affected) and creased, the first 7 fol. with fading dampstain at the lower inner margin, the horizontal plates each bound in with inscription at the binding margin. Overall a well preserved copy, the plates mostly very clean, the engravings rich in nuances. - Added: Schwabe, Allg. Historie d. Reisen, Bd. 19: Island, Rußland, Sibirien. With 6 maps and 27 (of 29, miss. plates in copy)plates. Cont. leather.
