Geographie und Reisen – Erste Ausgabe. - Kainbacher I.103 - Henze IV. 31 ff - Mit einer Widmung des Verlegers Ernst Vohsen an Edgar von Üchtritz: "dem tapferen und trefflichen Führer der deutschen Adamauaexpedition in herzlicher Freundschaft von Ernst Vohsen, Berlin (16).XI.95" - Mit handschriftlichen Anmerkungen in der ersten Person eines Teilnehmers der Exepedition, wahrscheinlich v. Üchtritz selbst. - "Ein Werk, das die Reisebeschreibung mit dem ersten, ernsten Versuch einer wissenschaftlichen Ordnung und Erklärung der physischen Raumelemente in sich vereinigte" (Henze). - Stockfleckig, Ränder minimal gebräunt. Insgesamt sehr gut erhalten.

Restored canvas using the original covers with gilt-stamped title (rubbed and bumped, slightly stained). - First edition. - With a dedication by the publisher Ernst Vohsen to Edgar von Üchtritz: "dem tapferen und trefflichen Führer der deutschen Adamauaexpedition in herzlicher Freundschaft von Ernst Vohsen, Berlin (16).XI.95". - With handwritten annotations in the first person of a participant in the expedition, probably v. Üchtritz himself. - "A work that united the travel description with the first serious attempt at a scientific organization and explanation of the physical elements of space" (Henze). - Foxing, margins minimally browned. Overall in very good condition.
