Commentaires et visions de l'humanité (á la) Marne. Mit 7 Gouachen. Paris, Pozzi, 1917. 7 Bll. Folio. Original Pgt. mit hs. kalligraphischem Titel und Monogramm des Künstlers, sowie RTitel und einer in Gouache gemalten DVignette.
1. Weltkrieg
Manuskripte und Urkunden – Das erste von 12 vom Künstler geschaffenen Exemplaren. - Äußerst selten. - Mit hs. und signierten Brief von Pozzi, datiert 22. August 1919, welcher das vorliegende Exemplar als das erste der 12 Exemplare ausweist. - Unterteilt in "Civilisation", "Conciliation", "Mobilisation", "Fermeté", "Alliance", "Victoire" und "Bravoure" zeigen die allegorischen Gouachen eine Reihe von frühen Ereignissen des ersten Weltkrieges, welche letzendlich in der Schlacht an der Marne im September 1914 enden. - "Pour l'Humanite" in kalligraphischer Schrift auf dem Vortitel. Mit den Originalen Seidenpapieren vor den Gouachen und den Registern aus Pergament. - Insgesamt sehr gut erhaltenes Exemplar mit farbprächtigen und kunstvollen Gouachen und dem handgefertigten Pergament Einband.
Manuscripts – World War I. With 7 gouaches. Original vellum with handwritten calligraphic title and monogram of the artist, as well as a spine title and a gouache-painted cover vignette. - The first of 12 copies created by the artist. - Extremely rare. - With handwritten and signed letter from Pozzi, dated August 22, 1919, identifying the present copy as the first of the 12. - Divided into "Civilisation," "Conciliation," "Mobilisation," "Fermeté," "Alliance," "Victoire," and "Bravoure," the allegorical gouaches depict a series of early events of the First World War, culminating in the Battle of the Marne in September 1914. - "Pour l'Humanite" in calligraphic script on the pretitle. With the original tissue paper covering the gouaches and the parchment indexes. Overall, a very well-preserved copy with richly colored and artistic gouaches and the hand-crafted parchment cover.
