(allesamt mit unvollständiger Kollation). - Schlenker 190.1. - Deutsch-lateinischer Paralleltext mit kurzen Beschreibungen der Eier und der Nester, in denen sie aufgefunden wurden. Die Abbildungen in fein gearbeiteten und kräftigem Altkolorit. - Einige Blätter im unteren Bereich mitunter gering finger- und stockfleckig, Papier etwas gebräunt. Insgesamt wohlerhaltenes, breitrandiges Exemplar, das feste Bütten mit zwei Schöpfrändern.

Natural Sciences – Zoology. - Ornithology. - First edition of the first monograph on bird eggs in German. - For references see above. - With 21 copper engraved plates with 145 illustrations by Gustav Philipp Trautner with old colouring, each mounted to fold-out. - German-Latin parallel text with brief descriptions of the eggs and the nests in which they were found. The illustrations are finely crafted and vividly coloured by an old hand. - Some leaves have minor finger stains and foxing in the lower area, paper slightly time-stained. Overall, a well-preserved copy with wide margins, printed on firm laid paper with two deckle edges.
