Zoologie - Ornithologie
Naturwissenschaften – Nissen IVB 389. - Mit Lithographien von William Swainson. - George Robert Gray war studierter Zoologe, beschäftigte sich aber nach seinem Studium hauptsächlich mit der Erforschung der Ornithologie und Entomologie. Die Tafeln waren ursprünglich für eine Arbeit von seinem Bruder John Edward Gray gedacht. - Leicht stockfleckig mit minimaler Bräunung der Ränder. Lithographien in schwarz-weiß. Insgesamt gut erhalten.
Natural Sciences – Zoology. - Ornithology. - With 12 lithographic plates. Half canvas with mounted front title. (Rubbed and bumped.) - Nissen IVB 389 - With lithographs by William Swainson. - George Robert Gray studied zoology, but after his studies he was mainly occupied with the study of ornithology and entomology. The plates were originally intended for a work by his brother John Edward Gray. - Slight foxing with minimal browning in the margins. Lithographs in black and white. Overall in good condition.
