Includes a section on poisons and antidotes, as well as exploring the folklore surrounding these creatures. - Mounted on plate 4 verso a closely trimmed coloured copper plate titled 'The Coach-whipe Snake' with corresponding descriptive text cut out of another work. - Complete with the prebound list of subscribers. - Covers slightly bent, title leaf, leaf A2 and last two leaves with minor, partly backed losses at margins (without loss of text), title leaf with owner's monogram and dated, together with last leaf with minor staining.
