In den Jahren 1939 bis 1963 war er der Direktor des National Museum of Ceylon. - Ränder minimal gebräunt. Insgesamt gut erhalten.

Half canvas and paper cover (rubbed and bumped, front cover more heavily). - These three volumes on the vertebrates of present-day Sri Lanka were written and illustrated by the paleontologist, zoologist, and artist Paulus Edward Pieris Deraniyagala (1900-1976). From 1939 to 1963, he was the director of the National Museum of Ceylon. - Margins slightly browned. Overall, well preserved.
