Kunstwissenschaften – Umfangreiches Sammelwerk über die Architektur des Moskauer Klassizismus des 18. und frühen 19. Jahrhunderts. - Unter der Herausgeberschaft des Stadtplaners Ilja Bondarenko, hier vorliegend Teil 1 (von 3), welcher die Epoche Zar Alexanders I. (1801-25) umfasst. Die Teile 2 und 3 des Sammelwerks (erschienen i. e. Bd. im Jahr 1906) behandeln die Epochen Peters I. (1682-1721), Elisabeths (1741-62)und Katharinas II. (1762-96) und enthalten weitere 72 Fototypien. - Die Phototyphien aus der Offizin von Karl Andrejewitsch Fischer, einem der renommiertesten Photographen im Russland seiner Zeit, zeigen Kirchen, Denkmäler (Triumpbogen an der Twerskaja-Zastawa), Verwaltungs- und Zivilgebäude (Universität), das Gut Kusminiki, Parkanlagen (Alexandergarten), die Manege, sowie Interieurs. - Titelblatt stärker braunfleckig, Lagen der Textblätter lose, die Tafeln an den Rändern gering gebräunt. Insgesamt saubere Mappe mit scharfen, kontrastreichen Lichtdrucken der imposanten architektonischen Denkmäler. - Selten, für uns im Handel außerhalb Russlands nicht nachweisbar.

Science of Art – With 36 collotype plates, including 51 photographic illustrations and 7 further photographic text illustrations. - Comprehensive work on the architecture of 18th and early 19th century Moscow Classicism, edited by reknown town planner Ilya Bondarenko, present is part 1 (of 3), which covers the era of Tsar Alexander I (1801-25). Parts 2 and 3 (published in 1906) deal with the eras of Peter I (1682-1721), Elizabeth (1741-62) and Catherine II (1762-96) and contain a further 72 collotype plates. - The plates from the office of K. A. Fischer, one of the most prominent photographers in Russia at the time, show churches, monuments (the triumphal arch on Tverskaya Zastava), administrative and civil buildings (university), the Kuzminiki estate, parks (Alexander Garden), the ring as well as interiors. - Title page heavily time-stained and somewhat foxed, quires of text sheets loose, plates slightly browned at margins. Overall clean portfolio with sharp, high-contrast collotypes of the imposing architectural monuments.- Rare, no other copy available outside of Russia.
