Brunet V, 1220 ("belle édition"). - Gesammelte Werke des italienischen Architekten Jacopo Barozzi da Vignola (1507-1573), darunter der Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola. Die Tafeln zeigen Aufrisse und Querschnitte verschiedener Gebäude sowie architektonische Abbildungen der Villa Giulia, ehemalige Sommerresidenz des Papstes Julius II., und des Amphitheaters der Villa Mondragone. - Papierbedingt etwas gebräunt und leicht braunfleckig. Vereinzelt etwas wasserrandig. Insgesamt sehr gutes und breitrandiges Exemplar.

Contemp. marbled half leather (somewhat rubbed and bumped, spine restored). - From the library of Ludovic Halévy, with his engraved bookplate. - Ed. by H. Lebas and F. Debret. - Collected works by the Italian architect Jacopo Barozzi da Vignola (1507-1573), including the Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola. The plates show elevations and cross-sections of various buildings as well as architectural illustrations of the Villa Giulia, former summer residence of Pope Julius II, and the amphitheatre of the Villa Mondragone. - Paper somewhat browned and slightly brownstained. Sporadically somewhat waterstained. Overall a very good copy with wide margins.
