Die Architectur Berlins. Sammlung hervorragender Bauten der letzten zehn Jahre. Mit 100 Tafeln, teils in Lichtdruck. Berlin, Wasmuth, (1877). VIII, 16 S. Folio. HLdr. d. Zt. mit goldgepr. RSchild (berieben, beschabt und bestoßen, Gelenke angeplatzt, Rücken mit Einriss).

Architektur – Sehr selten. - Erste Ausgabe. - Mit schönen Ansichten, Innenansichten, Grundrissen etc. von Berliner Bauten der frühen Gründerzeit. - "Seine Ausbildung erhielt L. zunächst 1862/63 im Berliner Architekturbüro der Baufirma H. Ende und W. Böckmann, die damals vorwiegend Villen im Stil des Spätklassizismus errichtete... (1864 besuchte L.) die Bauakademie in Berlin. Danach arbeitete er dort im Atelier von Richard Lucae, der sich in seiner Formensprache der ital. Renaissance zugewandt hatte, schließlich in Wien bei Heinrich Ferstel... Nach einer Tätigkeit als Privatarchitekt in Berlin 1871-79 war L. bis 1906 als Stadtbaurat Leiter des Hochbauamtes von Leipzig." (NDB 14, 446f.) - Etwas fingerfleckig. In den Rändern leicht gebräunt. Insgesamt sehr gut erhalten.

Cont. half leather (rubbed, scuffed and bumped, joints chipped, spine with tear). - Very rare. - First edition. - With beautiful views, interior views, floor plans etc. of Berlin buildings of the early Gründerzeit. - Somewhat fingerstained. Slightly browned in the margins. Overall in very good condition.
