Abriß der Vorlesungen über Baukunst gehalten an der königlichen polytechnischen Schule zu Paris. Nach der neuesten Auflage aus dem Französischen übersetzt. 2 Tle. in 1 Bd. und Tafelbd. Mit 64 federlithographischen Tafeln. Karlsruhe und Freiburg, Herder, 1831. 2 Bll., 82 S. 1 Bl., XVI, 49 S., 1 Bl. 4° und Quer-Folio (Tafeln). HLwd. d. Zt. (etwas berieben und bestoßen, Rücken verfärbt).
Architektur – Mit dem sehr seltenen Tafelband. - Wohl erste deutsche Ausgabe. - Selten. - Aus der Hofbibliothek Donaueschingen, mit Stempeln. - Jean-Nicolas-Louis Durand (1760-1834) war ein französischer Schriftsteller, Lehrer und Architekt sowie bedeutender Vertreter des Neoklassizismus. Sein Entwurfssystem mit einfachen, modularen Elementen nahm die modernen, industrialisierten Bauelemente vorweg. 1795 wurde er Professor für Architektur an der École Polytechnique. - Etwas gebräunt und teils braunfleckig. Insgesamt wohlerhalten.

Cont. half cloth bindings (somewhat rubbed and bumped, spines discoloured). - Probably first German edition. - Rare. - From the Donaueschingen court library, with stamps. - Jean-Nicolas-Louis Durand (1760-1834) was a French writer, teacher and architect as well as an important representative of neoclassicism. His design system with simple, modular elements anticipated modern, industrialised building elements. He became professor of architecture at the École Polytechnique in 1795. - Some browning and brown stains in places. Overall well preserved.
