Alte Drucke, Bibeln, Klassische Autoren in den Originalsprachen – Darlow & Moule 1422. - Band 4 der im Auftrag des spanischen Königs Philipp II. von Benedictus Arias Montanus (1527-1598) herausgegebenen Bibel mit viersprachigem Paralleltext von Jesaja bis zum Dritten Makkabäerbuch in Hebräisch, Chaldäisch, Griechisch und Latein, angeordnet in vier Spalten auf zwei gegenüberliegenden Seiten: Hebräisch, Vulgata, eine wortgetreue lateinische Version der Septuaginta, griechische Septuaginta, unterhalb im Fließtext eine chaldäische Paraphrase und deren lateinische Übersetzung. Die 3 Makkabäer in parallelen Spalten der griechischen Septuaginta und ihrer lateinischen Übersetzung, der Rest der Apokryphen in drei Spalten gedruckt. - Vortitel mit eh. Besitzeintrag von Manuel de Omaña y Sotomayor (1735-1796, kath. Geistlicher in Neuspanien/Mexiko) u. des Jesuitenordens Compania de Jesus de Mexico sowie Bibliotheksstempel Libreria del Colle de Mex(ico). - Einige Wasserränder u. kl. Wurmspuren meist im w. Rand, tls. gering stockfleckig, insg. wohlerhalten.

Prints before 1600, Bibles, Classics in Original Languages – Vol. 4 (of 8). With engraved allegor. frontispiece "Domus Israel", title in architectural woodcut border and woodcut initials. Contemp. vellum on 6 raised band with ms. title to spine (bumped, rubbed, joints partly cracking, edges with small missing parts in the coating, closing ties missing). - 4th vol. of the bible published by Benedictus Arias Montanus (1527-1598) on behalf of King Philip II of Spain, with parallel texts in four languages from Isaiah to the Third Book of Maccabees in Hebrew, Chaldee, Greek and Latin, arranged in four columns on two facing pages: Hebrew, Vulgate, a literal Latin version of the Septuagint, Greek Septuagint, below in the running text a Chaldean paraphrase and its Latin translation. The 3 Maccabees printed in parallel columns of the Greek Septuagint and its Latin translation, the rest of the Apocrypha in three columns. - Pretitle with ownership inscription by Manuel de Omaña y Sotomayor (1735-1796, catholic clergyman in New Spain/Mexico) and the Jesuit order Compania de Jesus de Mexico as well as library stamp Libreria del Colle de Mex(ico). - Some waterstains and small worm traces mostly in the outer white margin, some minor foxing, overall in good condition.
