Moderne Literatur und Kunst – Eins von 1200 nummerierten Exemplaren. - Mit Texten von Jane Kallir, übersetzte von Gérald Guétat. - Neben Klimt und Kokoschka war Egon Schiele einer der wichtigsten Vertreter der Wiener Moderne. Der expressionistische Maler erhielt nach mehreren Tragödien in jungen Jahren bereits mit 16 Unterricht an der Wiener Akademie der Bildenden Künste. Nach Streitigkeiten zwischen ihm und seinen Lehrer trat er jedoch bereits zwei Jahre später wieder aus und gründete mit Kommiltionen die Wiener Neukunstgruppe. Schiele wurde vorranging für seine Aktdarstellungen bekannt, wobei er als Modelle junge, fast androgyne Frauen und Mädchen bevorzugte. Neben seinen Akten malte er auch eine Reihe von Selbstbildnissen, sowie einige wenige Landschafts- und Städtebilder. - Insgesamt sehr gutes, druckfrisches Exemplar.

After experiencing several tragedies at a young age, the Expressionist painter began studying at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts at the age of 16. However, after disputes between him and his teacher, he left just two years later and founded the Wiener Neukunst group with fellow students. Schiele became known primarily for his nudes, preferring young, almost androgynous women and girls as models. In addition to his nudes, he also painted a number of self-portraits, as well as a few landscapes and cityscapes. - Overall, a very good, freshly printed copy.
