Bound in a brown saffian leather binding (signed 'Werkomer, München') over five decorative raised bands with gilt embossed title on spine, gilt fillets at spine, the boards as well as inner margins, gilt top edge and thick wove end papers (spine and edges with minor shelf-wear, slightly worn). In a new paper slip-case. - 5th production of the Kleukens Press, slim typesetting of the text in a Kleukens Antiqua modified for this press, and boldly impressed on voluminous, hand-made laid paper with a one-sided deckle edge. - The simple yet elegant bidning signed in at bottom of the rear paste-down, was executed by Werkomer, Munich. - Endpapers with shelf-wear at margins, otherwise a well-preserved copy indeed.
