O. T. (Löwin und Zebras an der Wasserstelle). 1920. Radierung und Weichgrund auf cremefarbenem Japan. 27,5 x 21,5 cm. Signiert sowie in der Platte signiert und datiert. - Im oberen Rand mit Spuren und Bereibungen früherer Montierung, leicht griffspuring und mit kleinen Knicken. Insgesamt gut. Ausgezeichneter, feinliniger Druck mit kräftig zeichnender Plattenkante.

Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Thieme-Becker 25, 371. - Kosch III, 465. - Kay Heinrich Nebel war ein deutscher Maler und Graphiker, welcher der Neuen Sachlichkeit zugeordnet wird. 1913 begleitete er eine Expedition von Hans Schomburgk nach Liberia, Westafrika, Togo und den Sudan, wo er wohl auch zu dem Motiv für die gegenständliche Radierung inspiriert wurde.
