Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Der Maler, Graphiker und Musemsleiter Kurt Henschel, der unter anderem bei Karl Hofer studierte, war den Großteil seines Lebens in Havelland tätig, wo er seit 1953 das Prignitz-Museum leitete. In seiner Malerei thematisiert er oft seine nähere Umgebung, die er in oft großformatigen Bildern abstrahiert.

Harmonious composition, the muted colours impasto and fresh. - The painter, graphic artist and museum director Kurt Henschel, who studied under Karl Hofer among others, spent most of his life working in Havelland, where he had been director of the Prignitz Museum since 1953. In his paintings, he often thematises his immediate surroundings, which he abstracts in often large-format pictures.
