Französische Moderne – Eines von 100 Exemplaren. - André Lanskoy, eine zentrale Figur der Lyrischen Abstraktion in Frankreich, entwickelte ab den 1940er Jahren eine farbintensive, rhythmisch aufgebaute Bildsprache, ausgehend vom Spätkubismus und beeinflusst von russischer Ikonenmalerei. Die uns vorliegende Komposition ist geprägt von intensiv farbigen, monochromen Flächen, die in dynamischen Formationen gesetzt und miteinander verflochten sind und wie eine visuelle Partitur wirkt, voller Bewegung, Licht und innerer Musik.

French Post War – Colour silkscreen on wove paper. Signed and numbered. - Some creasing to edges, margins slightly browned. A few pinpoint stains. Overall very good. Splendid impression, the colour strong and fresh. - One of 100 copies. - André Lanskoy was a central figure of Lyrical Abstraction in France. Based on late Cubism and influenced by Russian icon painting, he developed a colourful, rhythmically structured visual language from the 1940s onwards. The present composition is characterised by intensely coloured, monochrome surfaces that are set in dynamic formations and interwoven with one another, creating the effect of a visual score full of movement, light and inner music.
