Lactan kritisiert in seinen "Göttlichen Unterweisungen" aus frühchristlicher Perspektive die antike Kultur- und Geistesüberlieferung, das an die kritische Haltung Tertullians anschließt. - Ohne fl. Vorsätze, Spiegel erneuert, papierbedingt gebräunt u. braunfleckig. - S. 172-188 in falscher Reihenfolge eingebunden. - Titelblatt beinahe lose, im unteren Rand beschnitten sowie mit kl. Bereibungen u. Fehlstellen (geringer Buchstabenverlust), letztes w. Bl. mit Besitzvermerk von alter Hand.

Prints before 1600, Bibles, Classics in Original Languages – With woodcut title border. Contemp. vellum with red edges and ms. title on spine and cut (spine with paper label, sporadic spotting, ends of spine with minimal damage). - Important work of early Christian apologia. In his "Divine Instructions" Lactan criticises the ancient cultural and intellectual tradition from an early Christian perspective, following the critical stance of Tertullian. - Without free endpapers, paper of inner boards renewed, brownedstained and browned due to paper. - Pp. 172-188 bound in wrong order. - Title page almost loose, trimmed in lower margin and with small rubbing and losses (minor loss of letters), last white page with old ownership note.
