Alte Drucke, Bibeln, Klassische Autoren in den Originalsprachen – VD16 C 4778. - Sehr seltene, nach der Mainzer Urkunde edierten Ausgabe des Hauptwerks der brandenburgischen Kirchengeschichte, das zur endgültigen Reformation in Brandenburg führte. - Die Holzschnitte zeigen das Brandenburgische Wappen, Kurfürst Joachim II. vor dem Kruzifix kniend und Kurfürst Johann Georg von Brandenburg. - Vord. fl. Vorsatz u. zus. eingebundene Blätter mit meist dt. (stellenw. verblassten) versch. hs. Texten von alter Hand, u.a. Christliche Fragestücke Luthers, Beicht-, Oster-, Himmelfahrts- u.a. Gebete, Psalm 115 ("Non nobis do(mi)ne non nobis ...") u. Psalm 118 (Confitemini do(mi)no ...") sowie viele Anm. u. einige Anstreichungen im Text. - Vorsätze erneuert (vord. fl. Vorsatz zusätzl. erhalten), am Ende einige Bll. mit Hinterlegungen (tls Textverlust), vereinzelt Wurmsoure, tls. feuchtigkeistrandig, sonst insg. gut erhaltenes u. dekoratives Exemplar.

Prints before 1600, Bibles, Classics in Original Languages – With 9 (partly repeated) portrait and coat of arms woodcuts by Peter Hille after F. Friderich as well as some notes. Later blind tooled leather in contemp. style (minorrubbing, back board with small chafing). - Very rare edition, edited after the Mainz document, of the main work of Brandenburg church history, which led to the final Reformation in Brandenburg. - The woodcuts show the Brandenburg coat of arms, Elector Joachim II kneeling before the crucifix and Elector Johann Georg of Brandenburg. - Front flyleaf and additionally bound in leaves with mostly German (partly faded) handwritten texts in old hands, including Christian questions by Luther, prayers for confession, Easter, Ascension and others, Psalm 115 ("Non nobis do(mi)ne non nobis ...") and Psalm 118 ("Confitemini do(mi)no ...") as well as many annotations and some underlinings in the text. - Endpapers renewed (front flyleaf endpaper additionally preserved), at the end some leaves with backings (partly loss of text), occ. wormholes, partly dampstained, otherwise generally well preserved and decorative copy.
