Totius Philosophiae hoc est logicae, moralis, physicae, et metaphysicae brevis et accurata, facilique, & clara methodo disposita Tractatio. Additae sunt quaedam morales digressiones ad usum Concionatorum ex ethica desumptae. Mit Titel in Rot und Schwarz. Paris, Piot, 1646. 12 Bll., 816 S. Kl.-8°. HPgt. d. Zt. mit späteren Marmordeckeln und RSchild (etwas gebräunt).

Alte Drucke, Bibeln, Klassische Autoren in den Originalsprachen – Raconis (1580-1646) war ein französischer Prälat, der seine Karriere an den Pariser Kollegien begann, später zum Bischof von Lavaur ernannt wurde und zeitweise ein Protegé von Richelieu war. Er ist vor allem für seine heftigen antikalvinistischen und antijansenistischen Pamphlete bekannt, aber er war auch der Autor der Métaphysiques, die u.a. bei Descartes Gebrauch fanden. Das vorliegende Werk erfuhr nach seiner Erstausgabe bei Denis de la Noüe in Paris 1617 zahlreiche Auflagen. - Vorsätze erneuert. Teils (wasser-)fleckig. Insgesamt wohlerhalten.

Prints before 1600, Bibles, Classics in Original Languages – With title in red and black. Cont. half vellum with later marbled boards and spine label. - Raconis (1580-1646) was a French prelate who began his career at the colleges of Paris, was later appointed Bishop of Lavaur and was for a time a protégé of Richelieu. He is best known for his fierce anti-Calvinist and anti-Jansenist pamphlets, but he was also the author of the Métaphysiques, which found use with Descartes. The present work went through numerous editions after its first edition by Denis de la Noüe in Paris in 1617. - Endpapers renewed. Partly (water-)stained. Overall in good condition.
