Löchern, Rücken alt erneuert und mit Einriss, Schließen fehlend).

Alte Drucke, Bibeln, Klassische Autoren in den Originalsprachen – EDIT16 CNCE 21195. - Wichtige Chronik des Historikers und Arztes Paolo Giovio (1484-1552). Zu den wirkungsvollsten Passagen gehören die Beschreibungen des Schicksals der christlichen Gefangenen, die bei Barbarossas Raubzügen entlang der Mittelmeerküsten gefangen genommen und als Sklaven in den Laderäumen türkischer Galeeren nach Konstantinopel gebracht wurden. - Vorsätze erneuert. Erste 2 Bll. hinterlegt. Bll. 3-9 mit Fehlstellen mit leichtem Textverlust. Letzte 3 Bll. mit Einriss. Etwas wasserrandig und stockfleckig. Buchblock angebrochen. Sehr vereinzelt einige wenige Marginalien.

Prints before 1600, Bibles, Classics in Original Languages – With woodcut printer's mark on title and some woodcut initials. Flexible cont. vellum (soiled, with small holes, spine old renewed and with tear, closing bands missing). - Important chronicle by the historian and physician Paolo Giovio (1484-1552). Among the most effective passages are the descriptions of the fate of the Christian prisoners captured during Barbarossa's raids along the Mediterranean coasts and brought to Constantinople as slaves in the holds of Turkish galleys. - Endpapers renewed. First 2 fols. backed. Fols. 3-9 with missing parts with slight loss of text. Last 3 fols. with tear. Somewhat waterstained and foxed. Book block broken. Very few marginalia.
