Cum Epistola nuncupatoria ad illustrissimum principem Carolum Gelriae & Iuliae ducem, &c. Mit Wappen-Holzschnitt auf Titel und einer Holzschnitt-Bordüre. (Köln, Quentel,) 1530. 8 nn. Bll., 336 numm. Bll. Kl.-8°. Blindgepr. Schweinsleder d. Zt. mit RSchild und zwei Messingschließen (etwas fleckig und berieben).
Alte Drucke, Bibeln, Klassische Autoren in den Originalsprachen – VD16 ZV 4588. Adams D 600.- "Dionysius der Karthäuser (...) leuchtet im 15. Jahrhundert unter den niederländischen Theologen besonders hervor. (...) Als Theolog hing er der mystischen Richtung, welche eine höhere Contemplation als den Gipfel des religiösen Lebens betrachtete, so sehr an, daß man ihn (...) Doctor ecstaticus zu nennen pflegte. Dabei lag ihm, wie überhaupt den damaligen Vertretern dieser Richtung, die sittliche Reformation der Kirche in capite et membris aufs ernstlichste am Herzen." Prints before 1600, Bibles, Classics in Original Languages – With armorial woodcut on title and a woodcut border. Blind tooled pigskin of the time with spine label and two brass clasps (somewhat stained and rubbed). - Front endpapers with contemporary manuscript annotations. Partly with underlining and contemporary marginalia. Last few pages somewhat worm-eaten.
